The first thing to strike me about this photograph is the wonderful lighting which strikes the trees in that beautiful golden glow. The tre which stands in the background towards the end of the path is particularly beautiful. You're really captured the lighting and colours well here, and it's very effective in creating a peaceful, tranquil woodland environment.
I also love photographs which show a vanishing point, and this photograph makes good use of that technique. The path leads the viewer through the trees, drawing them in and enticing them to take a closer look. It's also effective in conveying movement. I can imagine a soft, gentle breeze lightly rustling the branches of the trees.
The composition is very nice. I like the fact that the photograph does not look straight down the path, but views it from a slight angle, so that the path angles round to the left before straightening out again just as it disappears. The angles give depth to the photograph and overall it's a lovely portrayal of a woodland scene.
