This is such a beautiful and happy photo.

You've captured a special moment between two best friends.
Their expressions and the light shining on them makes the photo relaxing and cheerful, it makes me smile. The light on the two ducks makes them shimmer and draws your attention to them straight away.
They look very calm, and I love how you have taken a low angle shot of them. It is a very natural looking shot and they certainly don't mind their photo being taken. The blurring of the grass in the foreground gives the effect you're laying down looking at the two ducks, and enjoying the scene.
The composition is perfect as well, I love how they are in the centre of the photo. Definitely draws you're attention even further.
I love the tiny yellow flowers in the grass as well. The background is nicely blurred as well, it resembles a painting and for some reason, reminds me of Japan. It makes them look like they're looking out over the tranquil scene infront of them.
I love the contrast between the ducks and the blurred background, it makes them jump out of the photo even more.

The square crop is nice as well, it makes the composition even stronger.

5/5 for vision - I can tell you have looked at the scene infront of you and you've captured it perfectly.
4/5 for originality - although people are always trying to photograph ducks, this stands out from the rest.
5/5 for technique - Everything is perfect, the composition, depth of field, etc.
5/5 for impact - A very tranquil and cheerful photo. A perfect moment captured.

All in all - this is such a wonderful photo, I love your work.
Keep it up, you're work is amazing.

Jess,
x

This picture is definitely a keeper. It's so warm and full of life that it could be, for some, something to gaze upon for moments on end. The lovely blurring of the backdrop gives the picture a painting-like atmosphere, and the foreground is so perfectly sharpened that there is not a single flaw to be found. As a wildlife picture, I find it enormously refreshing: It depicts an intimate moment between two mates who seem to be enjoying each others company just as much as the fine weather. The use of the square cropping keeps the image simple and focused; so simple, in fact, that it's nearing the side of perfection -- and that's all I can say, for I can find no flaw in this magical little piece that needs arguing against. Boy, wouldn't that look good on the wall?

The self fulfilling prophesy type of the paradoxical intention of two ducks?
